Fred Nichole

So this isn’t a video about a Climber from Texas. Nor is it by a Filmmaker from Texas. It is simply a video spotlight on Fred Nichole who deserves as much credit as any true Texan does for his contribution to Hueco alone, not to mention bouldering and everything there within. Enjoy, video by Prana.

Winter, Hueco, and Iron Palms

This is Cryptochild’s new video of their Iron Monkey, I mean Iron Palm Challenge at the Rock Ranch. It’s winter, my wife and I are about to have our first child (so I’m not able to travel right now), and this video features some friends of mine from the years so I figured I’d put it up.

Colette McIrnerny and I went to school together growing up in Nashville TN and it’s super cool to see her in mags and videos doing her thing. Sean Dodge and Gordon Anderson are both really strong climbers, general goofballs, and good friends of mine from Houston. These guys have super motivation, are always ready to climb, usually smiling, and make fun of each other constantly. (i.e. Sean is the banner pic for our home page)

Lynn Hill in Hueco

Sorry to be so slow on updating the site. Fall has been interesting so far, Perfect weather has taken over Texas and being broken has taken over me.  Needless to say my motivation is somewhat lacking since I seem to be missing the best weather in Texas in years. So I decided to make due, harness my poor pitiful me attitude and search for some moto and in my search I came across this video of Lynn Hill in Hueco (produced by Patagonia). If you’ve never been to Hueco this will make you want to go, If you have been it’ll make you want to go back, and if your broken it will make you want to say screw the Dr’s advise and climb anyway. Enjoy!

Progression Trailer

I know, it’s not a TX flick, but it’s a trailer and worth showing at that. Progression is the new new from Big Up Productions and looks like it was more that worth the wait. Enjoy!

Almost time…

Sitting around thinking about Hueco so I decided to find some motivation since it’s almost time for the season.  Temps have been staying in the high 80’s and this has been a good indicator like Central Texas’ proverbial ground-hog if you will that  fall is coming and seemingly soon.  This is s super cool video of Algertia V13 on North Mountain, Hueco Tanks.  Algerita is located on the right side of the Asylum just above the road. Climber is Josh Haynes, Filmed and edited by Mark Fraser, Rachel Haynes, and Josh Haynes.
