Sorry to be so slow on updating the site. Fall has been interesting so far, Perfect weather has taken over Texas and being broken has taken over me. Needless to say my motivation is somewhat lacking since I seem to be missing the best weather in Texas in years. So I decided to make due, harness my poor pitiful me attitude and search for some moto and in my search I came across this video of Lynn Hill in Hueco (produced by Patagonia). If you’ve never been to Hueco this will make you want to go, If you have been it’ll make you want to go back, and if your broken it will make you want to say screw the Dr’s advise and climb anyway. Enjoy!
I know, it’s not a TX flick, but it’s a trailer and worth showing at that. Progression is the new new from Big Up Productions and looks like it was more that worth the wait. Enjoy!
Sitting around thinking about Hueco so I decided to find some motivation since it’s almost time for the season. Temps have been staying in the high 80’s and this has been a good indicator like Central Texas’ proverbial ground-hog if you will that fall is coming and seemingly soon. This is s super cool video of Algertia V13 on North Mountain, Hueco Tanks. Algerita is located on the right side of the Asylum just above the road. Climber is Josh Haynes, Filmed and edited by Mark Fraser, Rachel Haynes, and Josh Haynes.
The status of Cub Cave has been a recent topic of discussion on TX blogs lately. Access, Bolting, etc… and It’s nice to see the cooperation between communities for the good of TX climbing. I know there’s more than a few people who deserve recognition but I’m just gonna say thanks to all of you who are making it happen, Here is a look at how the progression is going….
Here’s the new new from Vinny’s vault. Clayton Reagan’s new DWS route, Rhinestone Cowboy 5.13d.
